SENT ON BEHALF OF:
EVP and Chief Information Officer
Information Services & Technology
Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health System
I am pleased to announce that Mouneer Odeh has joined Jefferson as Vice President, Enterprise Analytics and Chief Data Scientist as part of the Information Services & Technology department. Mouneer will be responsible for building our enterprise analytics capability toward the creation of a Center for Insights Management. He will build infrastructure, data trust, tools library and data governance to introduce new ways to combine, explore, mine and liberate data assets using a combination of trending analysis, statistical methods, machine learning and predictive models.
Working across Jefferson pillars, enterprise functions and with leading industry experts, Mouneer will focus on harnessing “big data” to create actionable, data-driven insights and drive Jefferson’s clinical, research, academic and operational outcomes including evidence-based medicine, quality of care, patient behavioral engagement, value of care and financial and administrative insights.
Mouneer has an exceptional track record in healthcare analytics and is coming onboard with a passion for developing robust healthcare insights to drive real and lasting impact on the institution and the patients we serve. He has more than 14 years of experience in operations research within pharmaceutical and clinical operation, and for the past six years, has worked within the analytics function for Quest Diagnostics. Mouneer most recently served as the Director of Information Ventures, an entrepreneurial unit of the company, where he championed the development, sale and distribution of clinical informatics and population health management solutions for value-based healthcare delivery systems. Prior to this position, Mouneer spent several years in business analytics with marketRX, a company that combines analytics, market research and technology to improve the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Mouneer has a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from McGill University.
I am confident that Mouneer will be a strong addition to the Information Services & Technology team and an asset to the Jefferson family. With that, I’d also like to extend my sincere thanks to Kenneth Oeffler, who has been serving in this interim role since June 2014. Ken will continue his work as Director of Enterprise Analytics and will report to Mouneer moving forward.
