Demand Management and Top Projects
In today’s academic health care setting, use of technology to enhance the patient, student and staff experience is more critical than ever. With that influx of technology needs comes a high demand for IS&T resources. So IS&T uses the Demand Management planning methodology to forecast and manage demand for projects requiring IS&T resources at Jefferson.
Since the creation of the IS&T Demand Management Program, the organization has embarked on a journey to refine, enhance and improve the way project requests are submitted, reviewed and executed. We began with an outline of a three-year roadmap to mature the Program Management Office (PMO). Next, we worked with Pillar leadership to educate and inform the Jefferson community about the importance of aligning IT resource allocation with enterprise goals and objectives. And most recently, we rolled out a new Project and Portfolio Management tool called Planview@Jeff, which will help bring a centralized, consolidated, and consistent approach to project management.
